The virtual convention ran for five half-days straight, streaming live from our Chippendale Studios and hosted on an interactive virtual platform, created by Spaces Interactive. The event was jam-packed with everything you would expect and more from a global convention, from keynote speeches and panel discussions to multiple, concurrent sessions and live entertainment.
The main challenge faced by our client was in their ability to maintain the engagement and attention of their attendees. While having the best speakers and content is important for live events, when it comes to connecting online, viewers need much more. Our team's main focus was on creating a seamless delivery across the many incoming and outgoing streams while maintaining the highest production quality possible. We used our virtual green rooms to manage and coach the 40+ remote speakers in order to eliminate any foreseeable issues within their streams and ensure flawless transitions between these sessions.
Speakers were able to interact live with the studio-based conference Host, and also with the attendees via chat and Q&A functions. Entertainment for the convention included a virtual comedy festival and a live-from-studio Drag Bingo night.
This year NIBA was able to reach more viewers than ever before while receiving ongoing positive feedback from their attendees and stakeholders alike.
